語句を列挙するときにセミコロンを使える?

語句を列挙するときは本来カンマを使います。しかし、それぞれの語句にカンマが含まれる場合、区切りを明確にするためにセミコロンを用いてもOKです。

○ The specifications were sent to Jack Smith, one of our engineers; Mary Brown, an inspector; and Bill Lee, a company executive.
